Are you a number?

Mert Sahinoglu barcode

Do you obsess about how many followers you have on Twitter or Facebook?

Do you obsess about how many milisecond difference there was between #1 and #2 in a race?

Do you follow Dow Jones religiously every day?

Then I can gladly say you are nothing but a number. In my eyes you are as simple as the barcode image on this post. You refuse to know your friends or your customers. You do not care for integrity or strategy. It is all a numbers game to you. That is why I do not call myself a search engine optimizer anymore. Because life and business is so much more than just how many links you have gained, how many followers you got. Pick your clients and friends carefully. Without carefully woven relationships, you are nothing but a statistic. I refuse to be a statistic. How about you?

Your right. I’m a number. I buy impressions and sell. It’s arbitrage and leverage. Just looking for a better arbitrage and leverage.

I have a sell point. I know the number when the arbitrage goes on autopilot or just gets killed. There is an end.

Then I’ll be a number no more.
